Information

 On May 1, 2004, 10 countries will officially become fully-fledged members of the European Union.

 Let us celebrate this moment with a series of unforgettable events, with its most important part being the exhibition of the 10 accession countries.

Purpose of the exhibition:

The participants introduce themselves to each other and to Europe, with special emphasis on their European values. The purpose of the event is to increase multi-lateral knowledge, build a new type of relationship, establish cooperation and find investors.

 Character:

The exhibition would have a general country-presentation and image-cultivating character, which would be designed by the export promoting and investment developing organizations of each country based on the aspects of tradition and vision.

• ¨          Hungary, as host country

 Target groups:

• -          Economic and political decision-makers of current EU Member States and accession countries /we will organize their invitation via diplomatic bodies/

• -          Citizens of accession countries, including Hungary in the first place, with special attention to young people

• -          Experts and businessmen from the accession countries and current EU Member States in relation to each topic

Construction period: April 28-30, 2004

Dismantling period: May 5-6, 2004

Hungexpo Budapest Fair Center

Hall ’A’   /net area: 8,000 sqm/

 Design:

 Each participating country will have an area of 800 m2 available in

Hall ’A’ .The countries will design and build the creative appearance of their exhibition stands themselves.

Terms of participation:

• -          Rental fee: a symbolic rent of EUR 10 /m2 + VAT

• -          Technical services: to be paid by the participating countries based on the pricelist of Hungexpo Co Ltd.. valid in 2004

• -          Construction: the participating countries will design and finance their own creative appearance

  Accompanying programs:

• -          Genius-Europe, International Exhibition of Inventions Works of Fine and Applied Arts in Hall F

• -          Conferences for experts of the accession countries in the areas of economy, tourism, culture, education and environment.

• -          Public entertainment shows, interactive programs in the world of sports, music, dance and gastronomy. We invite the exhibiting countries to take part.
