The http://inventor.hu/ecoconf.htm website and the Eco-apartment house located at 77 Budakeszi út, II. district, Budapest (see map attached).

Participants:

Anyone can become a participant on the web, on the other hand participants will be invited to the Eco-apartment house. The list of the invited participants’ names will be put on the previously mentioned website on 2 April 2002.

Working language:

English and Hungarian (No simultaneous interpretation)

Major Challenges of the XXI Century (general ecological approaches)

-          Secure living

-          Social security

-          Public security

-          Labour safety

-          Injurious habits of consumers

-          Decrease of resources

Ideas, methods, results in the field of ecology

-          Recognition, determination and estimation of environmental harms

-          Protection against environmental harms

-          Reduction and elimination of environmental harms

-          Damage to nature

-          Protection of nature

-          Forming the environmental friendly behaviour and attitude

Application for the Conference:

Lectures on the chosen topic should be sent via e-mail to genius@inventor.hu or budcentre@ella.hu not later than 29 March 2002. The length of a lecture should not exceed 12,000 characters (incl. spaces). Attachments (both illustrations and pictures) have to be files of “jpg” format of 72 dpi resolution.

Lectures received by the organisers will be put on the web on 2 April 2002.

Those who send lectures until the given deadline have the right to comment, ask or answer in form of an e-mail on 6 April 2002, between 11 and 13 hours (GMT). These comments, questions and answers will be put simultaneously on the web by the organisers.

Art exhibition entitled “Glorious nature” within the framework of the Conference:

The venue of the exhibition is the http://inventor.hu/ecoconf.htm website and the Eco-apartment house (77 Budakeszi út, II. district, Budapest). The opening ceremony will take place at 10.00 on 5 April 2002.

Invited artists can show their works at the exhibition only.

Competition and exhibition of computer made drawings for children.

Participants and themes:

-          Group A: children up to 10 years, “Flowers, trees, birds”

-          Group B: children up to 14 years, “My desired environment”

Original drawings made on a computer on the chosen theme (one per child) should be sent via e-mail to inventor@matavnet.hu  or budcentre@ella.hu not later than 29 March 2002. A drawing has to be a file of “jpg” format of 72 dpi resolution and should not exceed 300KB.

The drawings will be published on the web on 6 April 2002 by the organisers. The best 10-10 works will be awarded in each group.
