The invention
- The problem to be solved:
The main aim was to design concrete building blocks that
facilitate to build stable structures using small, prefabricated building blocks and a
simple, environment friendly technology.
|
- Definition:
The invention is the fitting face shapes of
concrete building blocks that hinder the displacement of the building blocks with respect
to each other after their assembly.
|
- Presentation:
There are one or two doubly curved shell fitting
faces on the building blocks put side by side or one above the other. The curved shell
face is recessed on one of the blocks while on the other it is in relief. After the
building blocks are put together their doubly curved faces can not slip over each other in
any direction.The solution
that can in the easiest way be constructed and realised is the application of a hyperbolic
paraboloid translated shell surface.
An example for the surface shaping can be
seen in Figure 1.
Figure 1.
In case of building blocks where one of them
is introduced into the other there is a spiral or a sloping "thread-like"
circular channel provided on the fitting surface of one of the building blocks. By filling
the sloping channel with an appropriate material the gaps become optimally filled and
"concrete-thread" like joining will be created.
An example for its use can be seen in Figure
2 and theprodacts in Figure 3.

- Application:
These two fitting methods can be used for the structural
design of new type building blocks and, to elaborate variable building systems and
up-to-date building technologies. Its use is recommended to manufacture small dimension building blocks. From
these building blocks the smaller structural objects of the civil engineering and the
public utilities, as well as fences, footing and walls, etc., can be constructed without
concrete casting on the spot.
|
- Advantages:
The invention offers new structural designs; therefore it
widens the possibilities to use the prefabrication. New products can this way be added to
the assortment of the factories that enable the realisation of an economical, energy
saving and environment friendly building activity. It facilitates also to employ
economically the unskilled manpower.
|
- Stage of development:
On the basis of the invention the concrete building
elements have been developed for the "Kanális" drainage construction system and
for the "VBR" (Reinforcing Rod Steel Structure) construction. The production of
these building elements is in preparation stage.
|
- Documentation available:
Yes. A description is available that is required
to the use of the invention and, the technical and the technological documents on the
"Kanális" and "VBR" construction projects are also available.
