The invention
- The
problem to be solved:
Special processing of hemp fibre for the
production of high value threads and
textiles with a special character.
|
- Definition:
Appropriate production and fibre
finishing procession of Hungarian hemp
varieties making them – by special
chemical and mechanical processing -
suitable not only for the fibre spinning
industry, but also for cotton and wool
spinning and lies technologies. By these
means one can obtain finer threads like
the conventional with other
characteristics and fashionable, modern
hemp-like textiles for clothes and
household.
|
- Presentation:
Hemp fibres of length and fines
obtained by traditional processing are
not suitable for fine threads and light
textiles. The essence of the method in
conformity with the invention is that by
chemical and mechanical processing during
the preparation hemp fibre shall be cut,
splitted and cleaned as for the
expectations of cotton or wool industry.
The thread prepared for these purposes
shall be mixed with minimum 15% other
natural or artificial threads obtaining
so threads of a linear density of 33 –
100 tex, essentially finer than the
actually processed. The hemp character of
the processed thread depends on the
fibrous material rate. By an adequate
choose of fibrous material the dominance
of hemp is to realise using even 15%
hemp. By using hemp-like threads produced
by modified cotton or wool technologies
one can produce lighter textiles of
higher quality with suitable touch for
specific uses such as light summer
clothes for ladies, gentlemen and
children, working dresses and jeans-like
products. For the household textiles one
can exploit the possibilities given by
colour effects of threads with different
hemp content. So textiles with popular
character like curtains, table-clothes,
bedclothes can be produced. From
hemp-like threads one can produce
textiles also for particular purposes
like for shoe uppers, handbags, bags or
caps. Textiles having special
characteristics increase the national
product assortment by their exclusivity
and are more competitive.

- Application:
Textile industrie
|
- Advantages:
The shortened and refined hemp threads
are suitable for mixing with cotton,
wool, viscose and other natural or
artificial threads. These mixtures make
possible the production of finer
hemp-like threads having more favourable
physical properties, with a higher
productivity as by the traditional thread
sptinning technologies. Using fine
hemp-like fibres one can produce high
value over clothing of special character
and household textiles.
