The invention
- The problem to be solved:
Clarification of contaminants from spent, heavy soiled,
glycol based anti-freeze liquids.

- Definition:
The mechanical contaminants are isolated by
bleaching and filtration from spent glycol based anti-freeze liquid, then chemical
contaminants are removed by special agent-treatment, with mobile equipment at the site of
user or at the place of collection.

- Presentation:
The spent, heavy soiled, glycol based
anti-freeze liquids with different reaction belong to materials, which are hazardous for
the environment in category I. The contaminants are removed with the applied equipment,
the clear anti-freeze liquid can be used as complete valued, new material. The material is
pumped into a chromium steel tank for the treatment, with a bronze pump.The mechanical contaminant is removed with filter, then the oil with adding
MAVICELL-AC bead. The emulated oil can be precipitated with CuSO4 solution, if
needed.
Adjustment of pH for 4 – 8 is important, since the
treatment will not work without it.
Properly diluted CMC solution (0.5 – 3.5 l/1000 l), or
CETAG 70 0.1 – 1 % solution or flocculating material is added to the liquid, prepared to
treatment, with slow mixing.
To start the process 0.4 – 5 l/1000 l ferric sulfate is
added in 1 – 10 % concentration, with continuous mixing.
Then the adequately diluted aluminum sulfate solution (1.5
– 10 l/1000 l) is mixed to the solution. It is added till the start of flocculating
process, as required. The solution is rested, and then streamed through the prepared
filtering column, with pump. The filtering material is different composition of fiber
filtering, exchanger, and etc. materials.
The amount of disposals is between 5 – 15%. The destruction
or storage of disposals is the responsibility of customer, but the amount is very small,
compared with the original one.
The material of the equipment is chromium steel, with the
volume of 400 – 1300 liters, and the capacity of 4000 – 6000 liters/day. The energy
consumption is minimal (low performance pump). The equipment can be transported with 3.5
tons, longer platform truck.

Automotive industry, factory technologies, refrigerating
industry, compressors stations, glass-making industry, plastic industry, brewery, shoe or
paper manufacturing, etc.

- Advantages:
There is no need for storage or destruction of hazardous
waste materials, so the environment pollution can be eliminated. The costs of the reusable
material are very close to the costs of destruction, without transport costs.

The mobile equipment is completed. The technology has
been applied in practice.
