The
invention
- The
problem to be solved:
The main aim was to create a bicycle seat
that eliminates the discomfort of the
traditional bicycle seats that are
fatiguing, hard and cause perspiration.
|
- Definition:
The object of the invention is a
bicycle seat where the seat surface is a
flexible net and it can be mounted on the
traditional bicycles in a usual way.
|
- Presentation:
The seating surface of the
invented design bicycle seat is a braided
fine mesh net made of high strength
cotton-braided polypropylene filament.
The braided net is fastened at the edges
of and tensioned between two
semicylindrical, supporting and
tensioning sides that results in a
semicylindrical seat shape. The two
semicircular shape vertical sides are
fastened to each other through a
U-shaped, torsional-rod suspension that
determines the distance between the two
lateral sides and holds the seat. There
is an adjustable seat fastening clamp at
the middle of the U-shaped suspension rod
used to mount the seat on the bicycle
frame. The invented design seat can be
mounted on the frame of any usual
bicycle, likewise the traditional seats
and, any of those can easily be replaced
with the invented design seat. Its use is
not tiring but comfortable, not hard but
soft and it is airy to hinder the
perspiration. The seat position on the
bicycle is crosswise with respect to the
direction of movement.
