The invention
- The problem
to be solved:
Some cars do not let to see the dead zone just
behind the car during parking due to their high
and steep rear design. The invented rear-view
mirror solves this problem.
|
- Definition:
The object of the invention is a
rear-view mirror installed at the rear of the
car, above the rear window that makes visible for
the driver the dead zone just behind the car
without getting off.
|
- Presentation:
The object of the invention is a long,
narrow and convex mirror built in into a plastic
housing. This mirror is installed at the upper
edge and at the middle of the rear window in a
right angle to the longitudinal axis of the car
with a detachable joint and makes visible the
dead zone, just behind the car, down to the
ground level. The convex mirror and its holding
frame are hold inside the plastic housing by a
tilting suspension using two cylindrical pins and
bushing. This suspension makes possible that the
mirror be tilted into and fixed in the required
position. There are heating wires cemented on to
the rear side of the mirror for demister and
defrosting purposes. An additional stop light is
also built in into the rear side of the mirror
housing.
|
- Application:
The rear-view mirror can advantageously
be used in any car where the rear window is small
enough or it is located so high as to impede and
hide the view behind the car.
|
- Advantages:
During reversing the driver can see any obstacle
just behind the car without getting off .
The upper side of the rear-view mirror assembly
can also be shaped to serve as an air spoiler.
