Chipping of used rubber-made tyres on room temperature
The invention
  • The problem to be solved:
With the single-purpose machines that have been developed, it is possible to chop used tyres efficiently and the sliver can be recycled. The worldwide problem of environmental pollution caused by waste tyres can be eliminated economically well.
  • Definition:
The chipping of soft rubber is done using specifically and individually designed, hard metal blades with special blade profile and shape and a special mechanism. This equipment is equally suitable to chop both metal and fabric structured tyres.
  • Presentation:
The full chipping of tyres (rubber-textile-steel) is done by five single-purpose machines, of which three are patents and two are complex know-how.
A whole chain of know-how is needed for the chipping of steel structured tyres, part of which can be patents.

    TECHNOLOGIC SCHEME OF TECHNICAL EQUIPMENT

The rubber sliver, thanks to its small size and stringy structure, can be integrated into the newly produced raw material by the effect of the outgoing heat during the making.
Due to the ideal chopping speed and force, the electric output of the single-purpose machines is the same, while the amount of energy used is approx. 20% less than the usual.
The shear heat produced is mainly (in 75%) being eliminated together with the rubber sliver, the remaining heat is outgoing through the tool to the environment.
The transport of the sliver from the machines is done by pumping air through a low pressure closed pipeline, and the pumped air has also got a cooling function.

  • Application: .
  • Advantages:
The size of rubber sliver produced is less than 500 microns (45% of the product). The rubber sliver does not suffer heat shock as in ordinary rubber mills (further vulcanisation), so its particulars can be preserved and it remains flexible.
The electric output needed to be supplied to the equipment is not more than 0,75-0,82 kWh/kg.
  • Stage of development:
    Machine manufacturing, test production, product.
  • Documentation available: About the public parts – yes. The documentation plans are continuously being elaborated before the manufacturing of the single-purpose machines start.
