                    - The
                        problem to be solved:

A low installation and operating cost
lifting device was required that operates
from the household mains (monophase 220
                        V) and which is suitable mainly to help
the handicapped people who can not go up
and down the stairs with a wheelchair
where the access to the main entrance can
                        only be done through stairs.

                    - Definition:

The object of the invention is a
                        passenger lift mainly for handicapped
persons using a wheel-chair or for people
that have difficulties to go up and down
the stairs due to his/her ages or any
                        other physical deficiencies. The
passenger lift can equally be built to
                        operate outdoor and indoor.

                    - Presentation:

The passenger lift consists of a
holding framework, a steady lifting screw
shaft and a lifting car and a lifting
frame with the built-in drive mechanism
and control elements. The passenger lift
                        has small outline dimensions (1500x1500
mm), low weight (maximum 80 kg). Its
maximum lifting height is 6 m and its
useful pay-load is 250 kg. Operates from
                        the 220 V monophase mains.

                                stair.

                    - Application:

The passenger lift can advantageously be
used in private houses, public buildings,
                        summer holiday-houses, sports
                        establishments, swimming-pools, etc., for
                        indoor and outdoor operation.

                    - Advantages:

                        Low installation and operation costs.
Easy and cheap maintenance. Easy and safe
operation. Soft start and stop. No
vibrations and nor shocks are transferred
                        to the building, almost noiseless
operation. It does not require lift well
sinking, nor lift well or machine room.
Self and external rescue facilities are
                        provided. Enables magnet-card and/or
                        finger-print personal identification
programming on demand. It is weatherproof
and operates safely to a temperature of
                        minus 30 C degrees.

                        of development:

A prototype has been built up. A 6 ton
pay-load car lift is already in use that
                        has the same system.
