    As quality criteria become stricter there is considerable interest on the part of growers and processors in wheat varieties with productivity and yield stability equal to or better than that of the varieties cultivated at present, but whose quality, especially as regards gluten content, is as outstanding as that of Bánkúti 1201, which was grown from the thirties to the sixties.
  • Definition:
    Development of a mid-late wheat variety with better breadmaking quality than the varieties currently registered and agronomic properties, which are also better, suited to production requirements.
  • Presentation:
    The breadmaking quality parameters of the variety Mv Magdaléna are compared in the table with those of two other varieties with good breadmaking quality.
