1.  The Invention
	Title Sliding-plate packing for steam engine The problem the inventor(s) wanted to solve The inventor insisted to increase the leak-proof operation of his rotary piston steam engine with this invention Description. The object of the invention is a two-piece, spring pre-tensioned packing that decrease the technologically required gaps in steam engines. The decrease of the gaps takes place by compressing against each other the contact surfaces with a spring Presentation. There are packing slots on the contact surfaces where spring pre-tensioned sliding-plates are built in. There are limiting slots on the frontal faces while there are abutting and overlapping shoulders on the sliding-plates. There are two sliding-plates inside the packing slots with spring between them that presses flexibly the two sliding-plates against the surfaces opposite to each other. This way it seals the gaps. The limiting slots and the abutting shoulders do not let the sliding-plates to jump out, nor to become stuck. During the rotary movement this way the leak-proof operation still remains Advantages The sliding-plate packing decreases the volumetric loss of the steam engine and this is why the thermodynamic efficiency of the steam engine becomes improved.
