Introduction

The “International Inventor’s Day” event was established by the International Federation of Inventors’ Associations (IFIA) to raise awareness of the role of inventors in our daily lives, and to celebrate the contribution made by inventors to the development of science, technology and societies across the globe. The “International Inventor’s Day (IID)” must be organized together with an selected national similar event. The the first issue of “International Inventor’s Day (IID)” was celebrated on 2nd of February 2008 in Bangkok together the Inventor's Day in Thailand.

The second issue of “International Inventor’s Day (IID)” was again celebrated on 2nd of February 2009 in Bangkok together the Inventor’s Day in Thailand. > > > report here

The IFIA ExCo was accepted that the third issue of International Inventor’s Day be together with Argentina's Inventor's Day. This day is the birthday (September 29) of László Bíró who is the inventor of ballpoint pen. The celebration was organized one month later connected to the IFIA General Assembly on 29 October 2010, Nuremberg for financial reasons.

The IFIA organized  the 3rd International Inventors’ Day connected to the IENA Nuremberg.

This event was composed of the following parts:

1.)  NEW! “Heritage of Laszlo Biro and Best Argentina Inventions” – exhibition connected the IENA (28-31 October, Messezentrum Nuremberg Hal 12)  NEW! virtual presentation > > > here

2.)  Celebration of the 3rd International Inventor1s Day  on 29 October at 17:00 Sal Amsterdam Messezentrum Nuremberg.

"Ovation of Inventors" - decorations and salutations

The IFIA established "The Bogsch Memory Medal" for honor of inventors' supporter (one person per country). András Vedres IFIA President awarded Mrs. Lydia Zetl (Germany) "The Bogsch Memory Medal" for her long term service provide invention market place following out the spirit of Árpád Bogsch.

   

The second event was the hand over of "The Biro Commemorative Coins" by János Latorcai dr. m. p. the Vice President of Hungarian Parliament. This coin is prepared by Hungarian National Bank in 2010 in occasion of László Bíró's  birth day.  János Latorcai was the honor guest of this IFIA Celebration.  After his opening address he awarded the prominent persons of inventor movement.

András Vedres IFIA President awarded 10 inventors IFIA Gold Medal for their excellent innovated inventions. Then delegates from Hungary, Ukraine, Saudi Arabia and Yemen handed their prizes to selected inventors.

After the awarding there were two presentations:

There was collective dinner after the program.
