Student Olympics of Creativity
As a part of the II. Inventor's Olympiad the MAFE organised the
Creativity Student Olympiad in Budapest, during which the tasks
to be solved and the pertaining means were given to the
participant students of 6 to 14 years on the spot directly before
the start.
The jury appreciated the inventiveness shown in the job done and
the level of realisation of the creation.
Mr. Risto KURKI (Finland) was the president of
the jury.
The aims of the Creativity Student Olympiad:
-to provide a proper forum of competition, according to the
Olympic idea, for the youth, the inventors of the future, who
wish to create,
-to encourage the creativity.
The Creativity Student Olympiad took place in Budapest, in the
Olympic Hall.
The competition has been realised between 1000 and 1400 o'clock
on 7 May, 2000.
The relatives of the exhibitors of the Olympiad were entitled
only to take part in the competition.
The participants (students of Bosnia-Herzegovina, Hungary and
Slovakia) were competing in two age-groups:
I. age-group (6 to 10 years), 12 participants:
Tasks:
Flower composition for Mother's Day (using artificial flowers,
decoration materials and evergreen branches)
Toy to your brother/sister (using magnetic building blocks)
Winner: Máté NOVKOV
II. age-group (11 to 18 years), 14 participants:
Tasks:
Sandwich for your friend (from various foodstuff)
Presentation and further development of a selected Olympiad
invention (drafting instruments, do it yourself material, hand
tools)
Winner: Miss Katalin EGELY
