Crop regulation of vine without pruning
The invention
  • The problem to be solved:
    Mechanization of crop regulation
  • Definition:
A new vine training method and crop regulation machine was developed for the purpose of crop regulation.
  • Presentation:
We advise the introduction of the branch-cordon training method in vine production

Schematic design of branch-cordon stock training.
In the new stock-training method the thinning of the bulging buds at spring regulates the yield and quality.

    By bud thinning:
    - unnecessary cluster production is restrained (the bulging buds include cluster fundaments)
The measure of bud thinning can be adjusted by the tractor-driver during the process of thinning.

  • Application:
  • Advantages:
    The new vine production method:
    - offers an opportunity for the full mechanization of vine production.
    - considerably reduces the production cost of vine
    - provides for the mechanized regulation of stem condition, yield and quality
The branch-cordon stocks require no pruning
  • Stage of development:
    Demonstration plantation.
    Prototype of crop-regulation machine.
